Zello employs a proprietary low-latency push-to-talk protocol, which is not compatible with other services such as Voxer, Sprint Direct Connect, or AT&T Enhanced PTT. The Zello Android client enables use of the free public service, along with ZelloWork cloud service and private Zello Enterprise Server.
